Short answers about prize counts and amounts
How many prizes are there in one Thai Government Lottery draw?
One draw has 9 prize categories and announces 173 winning numbers in total, counting the 1st to 5th prizes, the prizes next to the 1st prize, the first 3 digits, the last 3 digits and the last 2 digits together.
How many 1st prize tickets are there in each draw?
The Government Lottery Office announces 1 1st prize number per draw. That number may be printed on several tickets, one per set, so it does not mean that only one ticket wins the 1st prize.
How much are the prizes next to the 1st prize?
There are 2 numbers next to the 1st prize: the number one below it and the number one above it. Each of them pays 100,000 THB.

How a number is matched to a prize
- The 1st to 5th prizes and the prizes next to the 1st prize must match all 6 digits in order. Having the same digits in a different order does not count.
- The prizes next to the 1st prize are the numbers one above and one below the 1st prize, so there are only two per draw.
- The first 3 digits prize looks at the first three digits of the ticket. The last 3 digits prize looks at the last three. They are separate prizes.
- The last 2 digits prize looks at the final two digits. It has the most winners because the chance of a match is higher than for any other prize.
- One ticket can win more than one prize. For example, a ticket can win the 1st prize and match the last 2 digits as well.
Lao Development Lottery prize structure
The Lao Development Lottery is structured quite differently from the Thai Government Lottery. There is no prize that needs a full 6-digit match. Every prize is matched on the last digits, and it is drawn more often, every Monday to Friday.

GSB Savings Lottery prize structure
The Government Savings Bank calls its prizes “ranks”, and announces 7 groups in all. Ranks 1 to 5 are 7-digit numbers that must match every digit (rank 3 has 5 numbers, rank 4 has 10 and rank 5 has 15). The last 4 digits and the last 3 digits are announced separately and are not taken from rank 1. They have the most winners because only the last digits are compared. Some draws of the 2-year certificate have no last 3 digits prize, which follows the bank's announcement.
This table deliberately shows no prize amounts. The 1-year and 2-year certificates are drawn in turn and pay different amounts (rank 1 is 10 million baht for one and 30 million baht for the other). A single figure would be right half the time and wrong the other half.

Hanoi lottery prize structure
All 15 Hanoi rounds use the same prize structure. There are three values per draw. The special prize is a 5-digit number and is the main result. The 3-digit top is the last three digits of the special prize. The 2-digit bottom is a two-digit number that is drawn separately and is not cut from the special prize.
The last point is the one most often misunderstood. In the earlier draws of the rounds with past data, the 2-digit bottom matched the last two digits of the special prize in only 0 to 1 draws, which is coincidence. This table shows no prize amounts because the Hanoi lottery has no official prize announcement that can be cited.
